DESCRIPTION:Sierra Club is working with partner organizations to sponsor an action in Washington\, DC on Sunday\, May 15th\, 2016. There’s a groundswell building\, and you’re invited to be part of it. Coordinated actions across the globe will send a clear message that it is time to break free from fossil fuels and invest in a just transition to 100% renewable energy. Thousands of regular people have committed to taking action already\, and thousands more are interested in participating in some way. This truly is a global movement calling for an end to fossil fuels and a just transition to 100% renewable energy. \nA bus will leave from Staunton at 8:30 am traveling to Nelson\, Charlottesville and then to Washington DC.  The bus will return at the end of the day. Final route details will be sent out and listed on our website prior to final departure. Dominion’s Annual Shareholder Meeting.  More than 150 protesters from across Virginia and Maryland came to demonstrate against Dominion’s pipeline plans\, with about 50 of them coming from counties along the path of the ACP.  They brought with them an inflatable pipeline to give people an idea of the scale of the project.
