DESCRIPTION:This is a continuation of the Hearing held on September 26\, 2016\, to allow the remaining people who had signed up to speak at that meeting (time ran out) their chance to speak to the Planning Commission. \nA public hearing will be held for air permits for the proposed compressor station for the Atlantic Coast Pipeline (ACP) at the Buckingham Planning Commission meeting.  The hearing will be held in the Buckingham County Administrative Building at 6:00 pm.  At 5 pm – before the hearing:  Circle of interfaith prayer and song\, led by PAUSE (Positive Action Uniting Stewards of the Earth) \nThis public hearing will be a chance for you to voice your concerns about the compressor station. It’s important that many people show up; Friends of Buckingham wants to pack the room. Your presence alone is important\, but please feel empowered to speak up. \nCome to oppose the compressor station with your comments or simply your presence. \n

Speakers representing themselves will be allotted 3 minutes (sharp) of speaking time\, those representing groups will be allotted 5 minutes. Buckingham County requires that you sign up to speak before the meeting\, so please show up early. \nHere is the schedule of pre-meeting events: \n\n4:30 pm Physicians for Social Responsibility slideshow of compressor station health impacts. In the Buckingham Arts Center\, 2 buildings west of the Administration Building. (Also\, to be shown on Sunday\, 2pm at Yogaville\, Sivananda Hall\, Multi Purpose Room)\n5:30-6:30 pm Circle of Prayer and Song\, led by PAUSE (Positive Action Uniting Stewards of the Earth) PAUSE-Peaceful Action Uniting Stewards of the Earth is sponsoring a Circle of Prayer and Song prior to the hearing\, with the purpose of creating and holding a space for positive interaction and peaceful intention during the hearing. All are invited to join the circle. If you can’t attend in person\, we invite you to hold the space wherever you may be.\n5:45 pm Press Conference\n6:30 pm Sign up for public comments begins. Please sign up to comment before 6:55 pm. You have 3 minutes. You may want to submit a hard copy of your comments. Thank you for showing up with or without comments!
