Sunday, January 11: Friends of Nelson Public Meeting at 7:00 pm in the Rockfish Valley Community Center Auditorium. A meeting to hear the latest on opposing the pipeline and get prepared for Dominion’s Open House with FERC representatives. Click here for photos.
Wednesday, January 14: Dominion’s “Open House,” 5:00-7:30 pm at Nelson County High School. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) staff members were there, and so were you (see photos here). Thank you for coming out–for singing!–and for speaking your minds and leaving comments for FERC!

Monday, February 9: Stop the Surveys Lobby Day in Richmond, Virginia General Assembly, 8:30 am. SB 1338 and SB 1166 were up for review by the Senate Committee on Commerce and Labor on Monday, February 9th. Tuesday, February 10: Nelson County Board of Supervisors Meeting, County Courthouse, General District Courtroom, Lovingston, 2:00 pm. This meeting of the Board of Supervisors included the agenda item “Dominion Request for Land Use Meeting with Nelson County Staff.” Friends of Nelson supporters attended this meeting and requested that public hearings be held BEFORE any permits […]
Tuesday March 10: The Dominion Open House, 5-7:30 at Nelson County High School. Folks came to demonstrate, to ask Dominion representatives questions and tell about their concerns, or just to demonstrate NO PIPELINE support! They wore blue!
